Burnham-On-Sea
caravan park raises over £1,000 for town's lifeboats
Burnham-On-Sea
RNLI has received a donation of over £1,000 following a
busy season of fundraising at a caravan park in the town.
Lifeboat
station Chairman Tony Winterburn was presented with a cheque for
£1,035 from Windmill Caravan Site's club on Friday evening
(December 29th).
Club
hosts and licensees Roger and Maggie Triggs handed over the cash
after six months of fundraising.
Maggie
said: "The club members had done very well to have raised
such a large sum of money in such a short time."
Mr
Winterburn praised the group for their work and added: "We
thank you very much."
"This
money will go towards equipping and training the Burnham volunteer
crew members."
