Garden centre staff celebrate after it scoops
national magazine award
Staff
at Sanders Garden World, near Burnham-On-Sea, are celebrating
this week after being presented with a national gardening award.
Directors
and staff have been given the title of the countrys favourite
garden centre by the readers of the national weekly gardening
publication Garden News.
Managing
Director Peter Burks said: "The title is part of the National
Garden Centre Awards, which take place each year. However, unlike
the other categories, which are judged by a panel of industry
experts, the Garden News trophy is given to the garden
centre voted as the 'best' by readers of the publication. It's
the general public who have decided we should have this award
and were delighted."
The
garden centre, which has won several other industry awards already
including being a Garden Centre of the Year, will now be able
to promote itself as the Garden News National Garden Centre
Awards winner for 2006.
Mr
Burks added: "Were very pleased to have this award
and it is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our
staff."
"This
March we mark our fifth anniversary and also the launch of our
new Pet and Aquatic Centre. So it's going to be a year of celebrating
for us and it's started very well thanks to this award."
