Burnham
Swimming Pool hosts annual Tommy's Splashathon
Burnham-On-Sea
Pool and Tommy's, the baby charity, are inviting tots to take
the plunge on Friday June 24 by taking part in the annual Tommy's
Splashathon.
The
popular event, taking place between 10.30am - 12.00pm at Burnham
Pool, involves babies, toddlers and young children raising money
by simply splashing a width or length of the swimming pool, and
having fun to help vital research into premature birth, stillbirth
and miscarriage.
Each
splasher will receive their own free Huggies swim nappy so they
can join in the fun in the water, along with a certificate to
display their proud achievement.
Jane
Brewin, Chief Executive of Tommy's, said: "This event is
great fun for the youngsters and the money raised will support
Tommy's many research projects aimed at ending the heartache so
many parents suffer when their precious baby dies during pregnancy
or at birth."
"For
the splashathon, we're inviting toddlers to join in and take up
this challenge - it's absolutely fantastic that they can offer
Tommy's such generous support."
To
find out how to come and make a Splash, or register please call
