Those taking part stayed awake from 8am on the Friday until 8am on the Saturday. The event was held on a Friday so that those taking part had the weekend to catch up on their sleep. The Youth Town Council members also invited friends to take part and the event was a great success, raising £198.50 in total. New members welcomed by Youth Town Council The Youth Town Council are looking for some new members. Any person aged between 12-17 who lives in or is educated on the parish of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge is eligible and very welcome to join us. The Youth Town Council is currently making their views know to both the Town Council and The Regeneration Committee on various matters that affect them in the parish. Under the YTC's newly adopted constitution, the members have recently elected a new chairman Sara-Jayne Aston (pictured with cheque from 'Stay-Awake') and Vice-chairman James Balentyne. We wish them both success in their term of office. By Elegia Clancey, YTC Press Officer
