About Us
The Harris family took over this 56 acre dairy farm in 1986 and we farmed it until 1999 there was a decline in the dairy industry. We had already established the seasonal site and touring the site on the riverbank. Mendip Lake was dug in 2000 when we built the static site. Quantock Lake was dug in 2004 and we subsequently landscaped 6 lodge pitches around it. In 2010 the old workshop and hay barn were replaced with 4 self-catering cottages. We further extended the seasonal site to 47 pitches to keep up with demand and made improvements to the shower/toilet block with underfloor heating making use of our biomass boiler.
The park is in a peaceful location with beautiful landscaped grounds with far reaching views across the Somerset Levels to the Mendip hills, Glastonbury Tor and the Quantock hills. These views can be seen from our walkway which is perfect for exercising your furry friends.
In addition fishing available on the Rivers Brue & Cripps, we have 3 fishing lakes which are well stocked with Carp, Roach, Tench and Rudd. It is home to an abundance of wildlife including owls, Kingfishers, buzzards, otters and wild deer.
It is an excellent location for fishing, canoeing, walking and cycling and within easy reach of many attractions and beaches. We are local to many attractions and a short drive from Burnham on Sea. A warm welcome awaits you at Cripps we very much hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Pets are welcome in Barn Owl and Kingfisher Cottages. Barn Owl has an additional outside decking area, with table and chairs.

Cripps Farm Holiday Home (Private ownership)
There are 20 static caravan holiday homes situated around two well-stocked fishing lakes. The caravans are supported by concrete hard standings and a tarmaced service road with parking bays. Each caravan has a 12-year lease, which can be extended by an optional 3 years if the holiday home is kept in good condition.
We have been granted permission to build 3 new lodge plots around our new Lake Knoll. These plots will offer an amazing view across the lake and open countryside. Choose from a range of makes and models. Call 01278 783762 so we can help you look for your dream holiday home.
Additionally, there are 6 luxury lakeside lodges with bespoke decking over Quantock Lake, a well-stocked fishing lake. These lodges offer stunning views of the Somerset Levels…Please note that there are currently no plots or lodges available on this lake.
The ownership license for holiday homes is for 11 months, from 10th February to 10th January. It is important to note that these holiday homes are privately owned and not available for rent or living purposes.
Cripps Farm Touring
Nestled in picturesque settings, overlooking the confluence of the Cripps and Brue rivers, are six hard standing pitches that are fully serviced. Four of these pitches are located along the riverside, while the remaining two are positioned just behind them. These riverside pitches are among the finest for caravanning in Somerset. However, please note that from 2024, children are no longer allowed to stay on the riverside pitches. Instead, we have two pitches in the paddock that are child-friendly.

Seasonal Touring Pitches
47 seasonal touring pitches with electric hook-up, hard standings, overlooking rivers and countryside. Two Excellent toilet, shower blocks with underfloor heating, and one with laundry facilities.
Open from March 1st to November 15th.
Cripps Farm Holiday Lets
Cripps Farm has 4 self-catering holiday cottages Swallow, Kingfisher, Woodpecker and Barn Owl. All our cottages are fully furnished with a home to home feel. The kitchens are well equipped and there are lots of little extras added within the cottage. Each Holiday Cottage has an open plan living area consisting of lounge/diner and kitchen, bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC. To the front of each cottage, there is a veranda with table and chairs, so you can sit back and enjoy the abundance of wildlife sat by your front door. Pets are welcome in Barn Owl and Kingfisher Cottage.
Cripps River Spa
We offer an exclusive spa experience that includes a range of spa packages and holistic therapies. Our space is designed for ultimate relaxation, with the capacity to accommodate up to 4 people at a time. It’s a perfect place to catch up with friends or family. You can choose to book our packages with or without treatments, but we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
Our facilities are fabulous and come with an amazing view. You’ll have exclusive use of the hot tub, sauna, shower, and indoor and outdoor sitting areas, all of which provide the perfect atmosphere to sit back, relax, and soak up the views from the hot tub.
We also offer a selection of freshly prepared food platters, creams teas and homemade scone that you can choose from, which will be waiting for you in the spa upon your arrival. Soft cold drinks, tea, and coffee are included in all of our packages.Click here to find out more
