Nursery Practitioner

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care.

Duties

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children.
• Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, behaviour, and any concerns in line with regulatory requirements.
• Foster effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s development and daily routines.
• Organise the nursery environment to ensure it is safe, clean, and stimulating for all children.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance childcare skills and knowledge.

Experience

• Proven experience working with young children within a nursery or early childhood setting.
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience in managing behavioural issues sensitively and effectively.
• This position requires candidates to be organised, compassionate, proactive, and committed to providing high-quality childcare. Applicants should possess a genuine passion for working with children and a desire to contribute positively to their growth and learning journey.
