Burnham and Highbridge Year 13 students at King Alfred School Academy are celebrating after receiving a great set of A-Level results on Thursday (August 13th).
The students achieved another rise in overall performance, marking the third consecutive year of improved results at King Alfred School.
Among the standout achievements were Ondrej Vamos with three A* grades, Amber Bonington with three As, Towan Latham with A* A B, Amber Christie with A A B, George Dyer with A A B, and Marcel Lenart with A* B B.
Many students secured the grades they needed for their next steps, from university places to apprenticeships.
Dan Milford, outgoing head teacher, says: “We are incredibly pleased with the results from this year’s Year 13 students. As a cohort, results across the board have improved again from last year meaning the school has now seen annual improved results for three years running.”
“It is wonderful to see every student gain what they require to access the next steps of post 18 education and we are thrilled that two students, Amber and Ondrej, have both gained places at Oxford University!”
“The Sixth Form Centre at King Alfreds is a great place and consistently delivers a great quality of education to our students – results are improving year on year, with dozens of students going into Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.
The school has wished all Year 13 students the very best for the future as they move on to university, apprenticeships and employment.
