Beachgoers in Burnham-On-Sea were left surprised on Monday (August 3rd) when an air ambulance landed on the beach to support emergency services dealing with an incident nearby.
The yellow Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance touched down north of Burnham-On-Sea Pavilion as ambulance crews responded to a medical incident nearby.

Several paramedics onboard left the helicopter to help a patient nearby.
Onlookers on the seafront said the helicopter departed later in the afternoon.
A spokesperson confirmed: “A male patient was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.”
