Green-fingered Burnham-On-Sea group springs into action at Apex Park

-

Christmas may be just a few days away, but Spring was on the minds of a Burnham-On-Sea group on Saturday morning (December 16th) when its members planted scores of bulbs in Apex Leisure Park.

Ten green-fingered members of The Friends Of Apex Park – all armed with spades, gloves and trowels – took part in the annual bulb planting session along paths in the Park.

“This year we’ve buried the bulbs in several areas, including along the cycle path opposite the childrens’ play area,” said Jenny Manners of Sedgemoor District Council’s parks team.

“Two sackfuls of bulbs have been provided by Sedgemoor and these will hopefully provide a lot of colour during March next year.”
