Masons present £750 to Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue hovercraft charity

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue hovercraft charity BARB has this week received a £750 donation from three local Masons lodges.

The Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Somerset, the Installed Mark Master Lodge of Taunton and the William Long Lodge of Burnham raised the money for the life-saving charity.

Keith Fisher, charity steward from the Burnham lodge, said: “We are very happy to support this excellent local charity for its vital work on beaches in the Burnham area around the year.”

Worshipful Master Wyn Vaughan-Jones and Keith Fisher are pictured presenting the cheques to BARB’s President Neville Jones, Operations Manager Mike Lowe and crewmember Andy Croker this week.

A BARB spokesman said: “We are extremely grateful to the three lodges for their generous support of BARB. The donation will contribute to the maintenance of our hovercrafts and training our volunteer crewmembers.”
