Mean thieves have stolen hundreds of pounds worth of computer equipment in a break-in at the town’s youth centre.

The Burnham Area Youth Centre in Casis Close was broken into overnight into Saturday morning (August 9th).

“A window was smashed in the cafe, and a large quantity of computer equipment was stolen,” said the centre spokesman Mike Lang.

“Among the equipment were two HP Pavilion Pentium 3 tower computers, one LG flat screen monitor, which was only donated this week, plus an Epson C46 ink-jet printer, a Dell VDU, and a DVD player that was labeled and postcoded.”

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the break-in to contact them on CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
