Young members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Excellent Entertainment Society (BEES) are performing The Little Mermaid Jr at the town’s Princess Theatre this weekend.
The society, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will perform the shortened version of the musical, which has specially adapted for a younger audience, on June 7th and 8th at 3.30pm each day.
The Little Mermaid Jr takes place in a magical kingdom beneath the sea, where mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home for a life in the world above.
“This reduced length musical is perfect for a younger audience and contains all of the great songs from the Academy Award winning animated feature film as well as three new songs from the Broadway show,” the group’s Vikki Hart told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
