Burnham-On-Sea Ladies Bowling Club has presented a donation to the town’s rescue hovercraft charity this week.

The team handed £80 to BARB at Burnham Bowling Club in St Andrew’s Road during a presentation on Saturday, as pictured.

Ladies Captain Marion Strong said: “Burnham’s marine rescue services have been very busy over the past year and we wanted to help this excellent local charity.”

BARB Chairman Mark Newman thanked the group and added that the donation would help towards equipment purchases at the seafront hovercraft station.

BARB (Burnham Area Rescue Boat) is run entirely by volunteers and has helped and rescued more than 250 people over the past 21 years.
