Yee haw! Big crowds flock to Brean for 2006 Country Music Festival

-

Thousands of country and western music fans have descended on Brean, near Burnham-On-Sea, this week for a ten-day Country Music Festival.

The popular event ends of Saturday October 7th and is drawing large crowds of Stetson-wearing country fans to pubs and clubs across the resort.

The Seagull Inn was packed with hundreds of music lovers at the weekend (pictured below) as the festival got underway.

Alan House, General Manager of Brean Leisure Park, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The 2006 festival has been as busy as ever with a whole host of well-known bands taking to the stage.”

“We have also had many top stalls selling their Western and Native American goods, which have also been a pull to visitors, in addition to line dancing instruction during the afternoons.”

“Once again, a great atmosphere has been created here in Brean and we look forward to an equally successful festival next year!”

Burnham-On-Sea.com has compiled a guide to the festival’s highlights here.
