Brean Rally 2012: Fourth successive win for ‘delighted’ Peter Lloyd

-

The turbo-charged team of Peter Lloyd and Carl Sorenson have won Brean’s Rally for a fourth consecutive year – the first rally team to ever do so.

The race aces (pictured right with Burnham’s MP Tessa Munt at Sunday’s prize ceremony) were in blistering form as they led the event throughout the two days of action at Brean Leisure Park in their Subaru Impreza.

Delighted Peter Lloyd told Burnham-On-Sea.com he was “very pleased” to have won the event for a fourth time in a row, his sixth in the event’s history, beating Karl Broad’s long-standing record.

Organiser Rod McKenna told Burnham-On-Sea.com he was pleased with how the weekend had gone. “It was another great weekend – one of the best in our 16 years of racing here. The competitors and spectators really enjoyed it.”

The 16th annual K&R Mitsubishi Stages Rally this year supported Help for Heroes and local charity Highbridge Dreamscheme. The rally was supporting two organisations, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and specialist motor sport rescue unit West Country Rescue.
