An agreement has been reached to allow Brean Theme Park to re-open for the Easter holidays on Friday (April 3rd).
The announcement from Unity Holidays comes as work is continuing to secure the longer-term future of one of the popular visitor attraction.
Unity Holidays says that after the site was temporarily closed last week following “repeated failures by the theme park operator to meet key obligations,” the Park will reopen for the Easter holidays.
It is hoped a full new agreement will be in place by the end of May to secure its long term future, says the holiday park owner.

Having originally occupied a smaller site, the conversations between Unity Holidays and the theme park operator have centred around returning to a model with new, better rides, a revamped food offering and work to improve the overall look and feel.
Unity Holidays CEO Mark Seaton adds: “We know how much Brean Theme Park means to the local community, to holidaymakers and to the wider visitor economy here on the west coast of Somerset.”
“We had to take the difficult decision to force a temporary closure of the theme park due to repeated failings on the part of the operator, but we have given them permission to resume operating as from today.”
“Our priority has always been to help secure a positive long-term future for the theme park, one that protects its place at the heart of Brean and ensures it continues to offer great-value family fun for many years to come.”
“We are very close to that new agreement which will ensure the future of the theme park and commits to significant reinvestment in it, and that will clearly be great news for our caravan owners and holidays makers, the local community and the many businesses that rely on tourism in Brean and Burnham-On-Sea.”
Brean Theme Park will open again, as planned, on Friday April 3 and will continue to operate as per its intended schedule, meaning it will be fully functional throughout the school Easter holidays.
