Burnham and Highbridge Choral Society is putting the final touches to its Spring Concert, which will take place on Saturday 2nd May at St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-On-Sea.
The evening promises a rich musical contrast, featuring the soaring elegance of Mozart’s Coronation Mass alongside the drama and emotion of a specially arranged Les Misérables medley. The concert begins at 7.30pm, with refreshments served during the interval.
The choir will perform under the direction of Musical Director James Davies, accompanied by pianist Mike Wager.
They will be joined by four professional soloists — Soprano Siona Stockel, Countertenor Simon Clulow, Tenor Matthew Minter and Bass Christopher Sheldrake — together with an orchestral ensemble, creating what organisers say will be a joyful and uplifting evening of live music.
Tickets are priced at £12.50 for adults, with free entry for accompanied children under 14. They are available from Material Needs in Burnham, via the choir’s website, from choir members, or can be purchased on the door.
The choral society says it is looking forward to welcoming audiences to one of its most varied and atmospheric concerts of the year.
