Burnham and Highbridge Town Council opens new round of community grants for local groups

-

Local community groups, charities and organisations in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge are being invited to apply for funding as the Town Council opens its Community Grants Programme for 2026/27.

Burnham-On-Sea & Highbridge Town Council says the scheme is designed to support a wide range of local initiatives that strengthen the community and make a positive difference to residents.

Funding may be awarded for capital projects such as purchasing equipment or improving buildings, as well as for general running costs (excluding staff costs and rent). Community events and activities are also eligible for support.

Applications are open now, with a deadline of 4pm on Friday 22nd May 2026. Submissions received after this time will not be considered. All applications will be reviewed by the Council’s Finance & Governance Committee on 8th June 2026.

Before applying, groups are asked to read the Council’s Grants Policy, available here on the Town Council website. Application forms can be downloaded here or collected from the Council’s reception during opening hours.

Completed applications should be emailed to accounts@burnham-highbridge-tc.gov.uk along with the required supporting documents listed on the form.
