Burnham and Highbridge vet practice celebrates busy first year in new premises

-

A busy Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge veterinary practice is celebrating a successful first year in its expanded premises after seeing significant growth in both clients and staff.

Bridge Veterinary Surgery moved last April from its former site in Worston Road, Highbridge, into a modern two‑storey building at Unit 4 of The Works 22 business park in Bennett Road.

The relocation has allowed the independent practice to broaden its services and welcome a surge of new pet owners.

Practice Manager Emma Winter says the team has had an “incredible” first year in the new building.

Since the move, the surgery has welcomed more than 640 new clients and just over 2,100 new pets. The growth has also led to the recruitment of two new vets, two new veterinary nurses and a new receptionist.

The practice has launched an updated website and celebrated three internal promotions, creating new roles of Pharmacy Technician, Head Receptionist and Head Veterinary Nurse.

Emma added that the team remains proudly independent and continues to provide its own out‑of‑hours and emergency care locally in Highbridge, something many clients value.

She says the support from the community has been hugely appreciated and that the practice looks forward to continuing its development as it enters its second year at the Bennett Road site.
