Burnham-On-Sea BMX Club draws crowds for action-packed regional competition

-

Large crowds flocked to Burnham-On-Sea BMX Club on Sunday (31st October) when it hosted the 2021 South West BMX Regional Series Round 10.

Riders from across the south west travelled to compete in the event at the club’s race track at Apex Park in Highbridge.

Burnham BMX Club Chairman Tony Fryer, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a great of action with over 150 riders taking part and large numbers of spectators watching around the track.”

“A lot of work has been carried out to modernise the track and update our branding and it was great to show it to visitors at this big event.”

Sunday’s event was part of a series of races for novice and expert riders aged 6-60, with a day of exciting fast-paced action laid on.

Tony adds that newcomers wanting to try out BMX are welcome to pop down to the track on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm when training nights are held plus social activities.
