Burnham-On-Sea Carnival is definitely going ahead despite ITV omission

-

Burnham-On-Sea carnival organisers have this week reassured residents that the event is definitely going ahead despite ITV missing off the event in a list of Somerset carnival dates.

The confusion came after ITV West listed all of the area’s carnivals, but accidentally omitted the Burnham event. It prompted speculation on social media that the event had been cancelled.

However, the procession is safe and is confirmed as starting at 7.30pm on Monday November 4th, with full details online here.

ITV West mentioned the inclusion of Burnham’s carnival on the Somerset circuit during its Friday evening news bulletin to address the issue.

Chief Marshal Bradley Loveridge added: “It led to a lot of people thinking it had been cancelled. Nothing could be further from the truth – it’s most definitely going ahead.”
