Cllr Alan Bradford, Vice Chairman; Allison Griffin, Chief Executive; Cllr Peter Clayton, Chairman of Sedgemoor District Council

Burnham-On-Sea Councillor Peter Clayton has been sworn in as Chairman of Sedgemoor District Council at its Annual meeting.

At the same meeting, the Vice Chairman of Council was named as Cllr Alan Bradford.

The outgoing Chairman, Councillor Mike Cresswell, presented a cheque for £1,100 to his nominated charity, Ups and Downs South West.

The new political composition of Sedgemoor District Council following last month’s elections is: Conservative – 28, Labour – 12, Lib Dem – 7, and Independent – 1.
