A person had to be cut free from a car after a collision with a double‑decker bus near Cannington on Sunday afternoon (April 26th).
Emergency services were called at 3.55pm, with fire crews from Taunton and Burnham-On-Sea, along with a heavy rescue unit, sent to the scene.
When they arrived, firefighters found a car with one occupant trapped and showing significant damage following the impact.
Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualty, who was then handed over to ambulance staff for further care. No injuries were reported among those travelling on the bus.
