Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were among several crews called to a property fire in Woolavington on Sunday (May 10th).
Fire Control received reports of smoke coming from the windows of a domestic property at 1pm, prompting crews from Bridgwater, Burnham-On-Sea and Street to attend.
On arrival, firefighters confirmed that smoke was seen billowing from the building.
“The fire was brought under control using two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan. Crews also treated one adult male at the scene who had suffered slight smoke inhalation,” said a spokesperson.
“The incident caused around 10% fire damage to the ground floor of the property, with smoke affecting the remainder of the home.”
The fire is believed to have been accidental.
