Three young people from the Burnham-On-Sea area have been recognised and supported by members of Moose International Lodge 123 during their latest gathering, reflecting the group’s long‑standing commitment to helping local juniors.
Brothers Cameron and Oliver May, both active scouts, were each presented with £100 cheques to assist with their upcoming adventures.
Cameron is fundraising for a world scouts jamboree trip to Poland next year, while Oliver is working towards attending a summer camp.
Tay Meager also attended the meeting to share his recent experience of a weekend sail training voyage with the Rona Sailing Project. He sailed aboard Rona 2, a 68‑foot ketch, with Moose members contributing towards the sponsorship of his trip.
Lodge members said supporting young people remains one of the traditions at the heart of Moose International.
Moose International says it continues to evolve as an organisation rooted in family values, now operating under the ‘One Moose’ structure where men and women hold equal status.
