Burnham-On-Sea Motor Club set to hold summer charity tour for air ambulance

-

Entries have opened for Burnham-On-Sea Motor Club’s summer fundraising tour, taking place on Saturday 19th July.

The annual David Warren Classic Car Tour features a mix of classic vehicles and modern sports cars, all coming together to raise money for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. The event has already generated an impressive £12,093.62 for the charity through previous tours.

This year’s route will cover around 70 miles, starting with breakfast at the Abbey Tea Rooms in Glastonbury, where the owner will be serving bacon rolls or toasted teacakes with tea or coffee for participants.

Drivers will then follow a detailed route pack highlighting points of interest and suggested stopping places before finishing at Quantock Lakes in Bridgwater, where a carvery and refreshments will be served.

Organisers Kris and Natalie Puddy say they are keen to boost entries after last year’s turnout was affected by a busy local events calendar. They are reminding drivers that the tour is run entirely for charity, with no profit made by the club.

The entry fee covers two people, breakfast, the finish‑line meal, a tour pack, and a generous donation to the Air Ambulance. Spaces are limited to 40 vehicles (80 people), and entries close on Sunday 12th July.
