A young rising star in the sport of karting from Burnham-On-Sea is celebrating success.
10-year-old Ethan McNally-Roberts has clinched the Under-12 Champion title at the prestigious Castle Combe Junior Karting Championship, bolstering his opening 2024 season.
Father John says: “The spring series of the 2025 Castle Combe Championship brought together 103 of the region’s most competitive young drivers for a gruelling 10-round battle, where only the best five results would count towards the final standings.”
“Despite the fierce competition, Ethan – representing his team Stalloni Campioni Racing – displayed consistent performances and also impressive maturity behind the wheel.”
Ethan’s journey to the top began with promise in the Winter 2024 Series at Castle Combe, where he earned a commendable third-place finish in the Rookie Class out of 42 drivers.
Building on that experience, the Burnham-On-Sea resident launched into the 2025 season by quickly ascending the leaderboard with consistent podium-worthy performances.
By Round 9, Ethan was ranked 3rd overall out of 103 drivers, and led the Under-12 field of 16 competitors.
The high-stakes Championship Final, held on Sunday June 15th at the Castle Combe Karting Circuit, featured the top 28 drivers. With title hopes hanging in the balance, Ethan navigated the pressure with ease.
“Qualifying and a tactically driven final, saw him progress through the field and finishing in the top 10, securing crucial points. Most impressively, he clocked the fastest lap of the session among all 28 finalists — an achievement that not only underlined his speed but earned him additional bonus points.”
“Finishing ahead of his revival, Ethan was crowned the 2025 Under-12 Champion. His total points also secured him a remarkable 3rd place finish in the overall standings.”
“Ethan’s experience and success is not confined to Castle Combe. His 2025 campaign has also seen podium finishes at national events in the Club100 and Daniel Ricciardo Series and other Club series. Ethan is currently qualifying for the British Indoor Karting Championship (BIKC) in Bristol.”
“Behind Ethan’s success is a dedicated support system. His team, Stalloni Championi Racing, and his long-term sponsor Learn with Vern have played vital roles in his development, providing the resources and encouragement essential for nurturing young talent.”
With a promising future ahead, Ethan is seeking additional local sponsors to join him on his journey to motorsport greatness via emr_racing@outlook.com.
