Burnham‑On‑Sea pensioner Ann MacDonald Harman has celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by four generations of her family during a special gathering at Frith House care home on Sunday 6th September.
Ann marked her milestone with her children, grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, who all came together for an afternoon of celebrations.
Staff at Frith House joined the family in marking the occasion, describing Ann as a warm and much‑loved resident.
Born in the tiny village of Dalwhinnie in the Scottish Highlands, Ann spent her childhood in the Shetland Islands, where many of her relatives still live.
She moved to Burnham‑On‑Sea in 2013 to be closer to her daughter and has lived at Frith House ever since.
Ann says the secret to reaching 100 is simple: “Keep working!” — a motto she has carried throughout her life.
