Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club has held a successful fundraising collection at Brent Knoll’s Sanders Garden Centre, raising £233.50 for Water Survival Boxes.
Rotarians were pleased with the steady support from shoppers during the two‑day collection, which marked the first official fundraising event under the club’s new leadership.
The money will go directly towards providing Water Survival Boxes — emergency kits containing fresh water filtration equipment, tarpaulins, cooking items and sanitary products — to communities hit by disasters around the world.
200 boxes were recently dispatched to Venezuela following July’s earthquake, offering vital help to families in crisis.
A spokesperson for the Burnham-On-Sea club said they were grateful to the many generous donors who contributed, and also thanked Sanders Garden Centre, which continues to accommodate Rotary collections throughout the year.
