Burnbridge Wanderers football club has thanked the town’s Tesco after for a £500 donation that will help the club purchase new goals as it continues to grow and welcome new players from across the area.
The club says the support from Tesco is “hugely appreciated” and marks another occasion where the supermarket has stepped in to help Burnbridge Wanderers strengthen its facilities.
Club organisers say the funding will make a real difference as they work to improve equipment and provide a welcoming, family‑friendly environment for players of all ages and abilities.
The funds came from the sale of secondhand books at the store in Ben Travers Way. A special thanks was given to Mirella at Tesco for helping to arrange the donation.
Burnbridge Wanderers are currently recruiting new members and say they are keen to hear from anyone interested in joining an inclusive, community‑focused club.
