The Princess Theatre in Burnham-On-Sea is holding a volunteering open day today (Monday) to give local people a chance to get involved with the running of the busy facilities.

Taking place on Monday 28th January from 10am -1pm, The Princess Theatre Volunteer Open Day is open to all to find out more.

Princess Manager Sam Nicol, pictured, said: “This community venue relies on our team of fantastic volunteers to remain open and serve the many groups and members of the public that use the spaces available in the Theatre, along with our busy Arts Lounge coffee shop.”

“From being a welcoming face and serving a drink to selling tickets, ushering, administration, fundraising, delivering posters and leaflets, setting up rooms for hirers, light maintenance, schools liason – there are many many things the we would welcome help with.”

“Come along, alone, or with a friend, and meet some of the team and see how you can get involved.”

She added: “If you are unable to come on the day, give the box office a call on 01278 784464 and have a chat with someone.”

Each month, Burnham’s Princess Theatre sees over 5,000 people pass through its doors.
