A Burnham-On-Sea care home has been recognised as one of the best in the region after being named in the Top 20 Care Homes in South West England.
Tudor Lodge, located in Brightstowe Road, has been selected from more than 1,000 care homes across the South West in the annual awards run by carehome.co.uk.
The accolade is based entirely on independent reviews from residents, their relatives and friends, praising the home’s quality of care, support and overall experience.
Chris Arnold, registered manager of Tudor Lodge, says the team is “thrilled” by the recognition. He added: “This highly regarded award is especially meaningful as it is based on genuine reviews from residents and their families, each one carefully vetted to ensure authenticity.”
He continued: “Such recognition is a testament not only to the quality of care we provide but also to the heartfelt commitment of our team. At the very core of our ethos is a belief that every resident deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion.”
Chris adds the home prides itself on creating a vibrant and homely environment, offering a wide range of activities and freshly prepared meals tailored to residents’ needs. “Our residents truly are at the heart of everything we do,” he added.
Staff at the family-run home, which has operated since 1995, say they are “overjoyed” by the award, viewing it as a reflection of their daily dedication.
Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager at carehome.co.uk, congratulated Tudor Lodge on its achievement. She said: “It is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the standard of care they provide.”
She added that with more than 400,000 reviews now published on the site, families can gain a clearer insight into the quality of care homes across the UK. “Looking for a care home for a loved one can be incredibly time-consuming and emotionally draining,” she said. “Independent reviews from people with first-hand experience are so important.”
She said the Top 20 awards aim to offer reassurance and trusted guidance to families at a crucial time.
