A final call has been issued for entries to this year’s competition to find Burnham-On-Sea’s new Carnival Queen and Princesses.
Entries for the annual competition are being accepted until this Wednesday (April 24th) at 12pm ahead of a special pageant evening to be held at The Princess Theatre this Friday 26th April from 7pm.
“We are looking for girls and ladies to participate in this prestigious event to be in with a chance of becoming the official 2019 Carnival Queen or Princess,” said co-organiser Tony Rees.
“The lucky winners will not only receive a photograph of themselves at the pageant, they will also receive prize money.”
“Winning the Carnival Queen and Princess Pageant provides individuals with an excellent opportunity to get involved more with their local community and to gain invaluable life experience. A great thing to put on your CV.”
Carnival Queen entrants must be 14 years old or over (there is no upper age limit). Carnival Princesses must be aged between 5-13 years.
All entrants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Carnival Queen entry fees are £10 and Carnival Princess entry fees are £6.
To enter before the closing date of Wednesday (April 24th) at 12pm, email firstname.lastname@example.org to get your entry form.
The Queen and Princesses are required to participate in the 2019 Burnham-On-Sea Carnival procession on Monday 4th November 2019.
The Carnival Queen will also be expected to attend various events throughout the year, to include the prestigious Carnival Presentation Evening in January 2020.
