Organisers of this year’s Burnham-On-Sea Carnival have this week appealed for more volunteers to come foward to help with collections of money along the route on the night.

Thousands of pounds needs to be raised to keep the carnival running and also to raise cash for local good causes.

Andrew Bryant from Burnham Lions Club, which organises the collections, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We usually have 60 collectors but don’t have enough this year.”

“We often don’t find out until the night itself how many volunteers are turning up, so would urge anyone who can help us to get in touch.”

“We would like to increase the number of collectors and ensure the carnival raises as much as possible, particularly during this difficult year.”

To help on carnival night, Monday November 9th, contact Andrew on 07969 142645.
