Two people were injured in a serious two-vehicle accident near Burnham-On-Sea last night (Tuesday, July 26th).

Fire, ambulance and police crews from Burnham-On-Sea were called to the junction of the Causeway and Harp Road in Mark at 8.30pm.

The officer in charge confirmed there had been a two vehicle-road collision with two people trapped.

The fire crews from Burnham and Bridgwater worked closely together to release the casualties using hydraulic cutting equipment.

By 9.10pm the incident commander reported that both casualties had been stabilised and had been released.

They were taken to hospital with injuries that were not understood to be life-threatening.
