A Burnham-On-Sea man has donated over £200 to the RNLI in memory of his late father.

Burnham photographer David Whatley recently visited Burnham-On-Sea RNLI Lifeboat station to hand over a funeral contribution in memory of his late father, who was also called David.

A cheque for £208.05 was presented to help the RNLI operations at Burnham-On-Sea.

David said of his father: “He enjoyed watching the RNLI crew train from his seafront flat, and endeavoured to support the RNLI as a well worthy charity. His legacy lives on in his two sons who support the RNLI as much as he did.”

Burnham-On-Sea Lifeboat Operations Manager Matt Davies added: “We value this gift, which will go towards running our lifeboat station, and thank you for your family’s support.”
