Apex Park in Highbridge

Keen photographers have been reminded that the closing date for The Friends of Apex Park’s photography competition is looming on October 1st.

The aim of the competition is to capture the beautiful open space of Apex Park via a snapshot and to raise much-needed funds towards the repair of Secret World Wildlife Rescue’s resident bird aviaries.

There are three age categories and three themes in the competition: Under 8’s, 9-17 yrs and 18 years + and the themes will be Wildlife (not including pets), Flowers and Seasons (at Apex Park).

Winners from each age category will have their photos used in Sedgemoor District Council’s and Friends of Apex Park’s future publicity for Apex Park. Secret World are offering a ‘behind the scenes’ visit for the winners too and if an overall winner is chosen, their photo will be used on the cover of Secret World’s newsletter.

To enter the competition, visit http://friendsofapexpark.webeden.co.uk or https://www.secretworld.org/ for further information and to download an entry form.  You can also request an entry form by emailing parks@sedgemoor.gov.uk.

Hard copy photograph entry sizes must be between 6 X 4 (minimum) and A4 (maximum) and if sent electronically, images cannot be larger than 10MB. There will be a £2 entry cost per photo submitted and deadline date for entries is 1st October 2019.

The judging panel will consist of the Friends of Apex Park Group, Sedgemoor District Council and Secret World.
