150 motorbikes welcomed onto Burnham-On-Sea seafront during charity run

-

Over 150 motorcyclists roared into Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (June 23rd) when one of the region’s longest-running charity motorcycle events visited the town.

Westland Vintage Motorcycle Club held its annual Coast to Coast Run from Lyme Regis to Burnham seafront.

Burnham’s Mayor, Cllr Andy Brewer, picked the Mayor’s Choice winning bike as a 1955 BSA owned by Ian Johnson, pictured here.

The organisers told Burnham-On-Sea.com that over 150 veteran, vintage and post-war classic motorbikes took part, arriving on Burnham’s Esplanade.

They’d headed into Burnham from Lyme Regis, taking in Wells, Cheddar, Wedmore and Mark along the way.

The Coast To Coast Run has been running for 30 years and has raised over £70,000 for charity in that time – with Headway Somerset benefiting this year.
