A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

Police carried out a warrant at an address in Marconi Drive, Highbridge at 8.45am on Friday morning (April 13th) and they located a man with what is believed to be cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

A large quantity of cash, phones and suspected class A drugs were seized.

PC Jennifer Atkinson told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We think the suspect was ‘cuckooing’ the address of a drug user.”

“The term ‘cuckooing’ is where someone targets the home of a drug user or someone vulnerable, using the address to store and supply drugs.”

“We were able to issue this warrant after receiving intelligence and would encourage anyone in the area with information to please come forward as our investigation is still ongoing.”

PC Ryan Dinham added: “We would like to thank the local community for all their assistance and would urge anyone with information about any criminal behaviour to either contact us direct either via the Avon and Somerset website or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
