Children are being invited to become ‘eggsplorers’ for a day by the National Trust during a special Easter event at Brean Down this Friday.

The Trust is inviting families to see whether they can follow a series of clues to claim a Cadbury chocolate Egg.

The Cadbury Easter Egg Trail will be held on Friday 3rd April from 11.00am–2pm alongside hands-on activities.

The rangers at Brean Down have been busy creating the trails, which will lead families around the coastal site.

Hayley Dorrington, National Trust Ranger said: “The trails are brilliant because they encourage us to really see the site through the eyes of our younger visitors – it’s amazing what interesting things you can spot just by putting yourself in their shoes, we learn new things about the property every year.”

The trails at Brean will have a ‘bird’ theme, with the chance for hands-on craft activities and to build a giant bird’s nest. Visitors are also encouraged to enjoy the beach and have lunch in the newly refurbished café.

Bring sturdy footwear and coats plus wellies and umbrellas. The price is £2.50 per person. For more information, call 01452 814 213.
