Extra Burnham-On-Sea Repair Cafe session added this Friday due to high demand

-

The Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Repair Café team has announced an additional pop‑up event this week following a surge in demand from local residents.

The extra session will take place this Friday, 10th April, at Burnham Community Centre in Berrow Road between 10am and 12 noon, offering visitors the chance to bring along household items in need of a fix.

Organisers say they are delighted that David Norton, of Burnham Community Centre, has generously offered space for three monthly pop‑ups over the coming months.

These will run on the second Friday of each month: 10th April, 8th May, and 12th June.

A spokesperson for the Repair Café said the spring season is the perfect time to dig out items that may need “a tweak or a little TLC,” adding that volunteers will be on hand to help breathe new life into everything from small appliances to household favourites.

The team also confirmed that the Repair Café’s regular sessions at The Waffle Hub and Purple Spoon will also continue as usual.

If you’ve uncovered something during your spring clean that could use expert attention, the volunteers at the Community Centre this Friday may be able to help give it a new lease of life.
