A new Burnham-On-Sea event offering support and information on addictions is to be held in conjunction with the Waffle Hub community cafe.
The first Burnham Addiction Recovery Festival will take place on Saturday 3rd October at the cafe in Burnham-On-Sea Methodist Church in College Street.
Organiser John Kempton, pictured, says: “There are so many local people with a wide variety of addictions so this event is for them, offering support and information.”
“We are hosting the first ever Burnham addiction recovery festival at the Methodist Church from 12.30pm to 6pm with stalls from local charities plus recovery services and fellowships.”
“There will also be workshops and shares, with all welcome to attend and join the festival.”
As part of the event, a recovery church service will also be held at 6pm on Tuesday 29th September at Burnham’s St Andrew’s Church. Organisers say all will be welcome to attend.
John adds: “We are also very grateful to Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Town Council and the Waffle Hub for supporting us with this event.”
