A new coffee shop is set to open soon in Burnham-On-Sea town centre, its owner has said this week.

Cosy Coffee is due to launch during the early summer in Cross Street with a line-up of ‘quality’ coffees and a menu of fresh food.

The premises, which is near the junction with Burnham High Street, is getting a full refurbishment and upgrade in advance of the opening, which was initially planned for last year. It has an outside seating area and a fresh, modern internal decor.

The owner of the new business, Oktay Aka, already runs the popular BOS Cafe in Burnham’s High Street.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com this week, he said: “We have been completing the refurbishment and arranging new staff, but we hope to open over the next month.”

“Cosy Coffee will be different to other cafes in the town – we will be selling quality coffees and special drinks, plus paninis, sandwiches and cakes.”

“We have spent a lot of time creating really comfortable surroundings and seating inside that will also be quite different to other cafes in the town.”

The new cafe is currently recruiting for new staff.
