New Burnham-On-Sea greengrocery Gardiner-Whites opens

-

A new traditional greengrocery shop opened in Burnham-On-Sea town centre on Monday (October 2nd).

Richard and Jax Gardiner-White, pictured, have launched ‘Gardiner-Whites’ at 25 The High Street to offer a mixture of fresh fruit, vegetables and food produce.

Jax told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s a traditional greengrocer with a modern twist – there’s wooden shelving throughout, and we have the widest range of high-quality fresh fruit and veg at great prices, plus kitchen essentials like herbs, spices, vegetable oils, specialist teas, and delicious local jams and pickles.”

“We pride ourselves on being environmentally friendly, so we’re bringing back traditional brown paper bags for customers to take away their fresh produce. You won’t see unnecessary plastic in this shop.”

“We’re also planning to offer online ordering, electronic payments and fresh produce boxes delivered straight to your door. We’ve had amazing feedback so far and look forward to welcoming customers – we hope you love your shop as much as we do!”

A Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade spokesman said: “We give a very warm welcome to Gardiner-Whites and encourage shoppers to come into Burnham to support Burnham’s independent shops which offer a super range of products.”

The new store has opened in place of the gift shop Hidden Treasures which closed over the summer.

The Mayor Cllr Bill Hancock and Town Crier Alistair Murray led the openuing

The shop sells a wide range of fresh produce

The store also sells a selection of jams, chutneys and drinks
