Harvest Home season gets underway across the Burnham area

-

A series of seasonal Harvest Home celebrations has got underway this week across the Burnham-On-Sea area.

A total of 460 people attended Saturday’s Mark Harvest Home, which featured a specially-prepared feast of locally-sourced meats, bread, cider and ale.

An afternoon of traditional sports was enjoyed by young and old, followed by entertainment from local DJ Olly Eade and local band The Riverbrew. The evening saw the return of the annual Tug Of War, while local carnival club The Gremlins ran the bar and local butcher F J Scriven provided pig rolls.

The season continues with the 156th East Brent Harvest Home this Friday, August 23rd. Tickets, costing £17, are available from The Knoll Inn or by calling Rita Thomas on 01278 760695.

East Huntspill’s Harvest Home will be held on Saturday September 7th. Tickets are available from Richard on 01278 780608.
