Thousands of visitors from across the UK are expected to visit East Huntspill near Burnham-On-Sea this weekend when a popular healing festival returns.

Now in its ninth year, The Healing Weekend will be held on July 14th-16th at Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre.

Last year, 5,000 people attended and an even bigger crowd is expected this weekend.

With more than 180 exhibitors, 90 workshops, talks and performances, live music, evening shows, children’s activities, camping and good food, the event has something for everyone.

Organisers Elaine Fenton and Ron Tropman say: “The Healing Weekend is now one of the best loved events of its kind in the UK, attracting thousands of visitors.”

“It really is a first class event that Somerset can be proud of, supporting the first class charity Secret World.”

“If you have not visited before, you are in for a truly memorable experience – one the whole family can enjoy.”

Secret World’s fundraiser Jeremy Duxbury added: “We’re so looking forward to welcoming The Healing Weekend back here again. As well as all the workshops and talks there will also be an opportunity to learn more about Secret World’s work to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured wildlife, as well as just to soak in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy everything the site has to offer.”
