Highbridge-based David Salisbury Joinery has announced two senior leadership changes as the long‑established firm continues to grow its presence in the premium home improvement market.
The company has promoted Barney Bell to Managing Director and appointed Helen Salisbury as Installations & Customer Service Director, bringing installation operations and the customer journey together at board level.
The Somerset manufacturer, known for its bespoke timber orangeries, conservatories and luxury kitchens, says the appointments mark the next stage in its development after more than four decades in business.
Barney joined the company in 2017 as Marketing Manager, bringing experience from the luxury interiors sector. He has since helped shape the brand’s market position and more recently overseen the expansion of its kitchen division. Taking on the role of Managing Director, he will now lead the wider business.
He said he is proud to step into the role at a company with a strong reputation for craftsmanship, design and customer care, adding that David Salisbury’s success has long been built on understanding what customers want from their homes and bringing those ideas to life in wood.
Helen Salisbury moves from her previous position as Head of Installations & Customer Service to join the board as Installations & Customer Service Director. Her appointment reflects the importance the company places on the experience that follows every sale, with installation and customer care now aligned at senior level.
Chairman David Salisbury said both have made a significant contribution to the business, noting Barney’s strong understanding of the market and Helen’s expertise in delivering projects well. He added that their complementary strengths will support the company’s future direction.
Barney and Helen join Sales Director Karen Bell and Manufacturing Director Andrew Clarke on the senior leadership team, which will guide the Highbridge firm through its next chapter.
