Speculation is rife that a new spray-painted image of a boy that has appeared in Brean this week may have been created by Banksy.

The spray-painted black and white image of a girl reading a newspaper with the words ‘Brum Banksy Fools The Experts’ has appeared in a former farm storage barn alongside Warren Road in the village, as pictured here.

It comes two months after Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here that a similar Banksy-style image had appeared at the entrance to nearby Brean beach.

It showed a boy wearing shorts and a summer hat while holding a bucket on the side of the public toilets block.

Social media comments have this week again been divided on whether the latest artwork could in fact be a genuine Banksy!

Beach warden Dave Furber told Burnham-On-Sea.com at the time of the summer artwork appearing:  “The black and white image is definitely in the style of some of Banksy’s artwork, so it’s intriguing!”

“Word has quickly spread about it and lots of people have been down to have a look for themselves. Who knows whether we’ll ever find out if it’s a real Banksy.”
