Bristol police are appealing for help in finding a registered sex offender who is on the run after breaching his sex offender’s registration and could be in the Burnham-On-Sea area.
Simon James Walford, aged 35, is from the St Paul’s area of Bristol, but is also known to have connections with the Long Ashton area and is believed to frequent the Burnham-On-Sea and Weston areas.
“Walford was convicted at Bristol Crown Court in 2003 of a number of sexual offences and was placed on the Sex Offender’s Register. He is now wanted for breaching the order after failing to disclose to police his current address,” a police spokesman said on Wednesday (October 11th).
“Walford also failed to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court for an unrelated deception offence on January 18, 2006, when a warrant was issued for his arrest. He is a white male, 5ft 11 ins tall with a slim build, short brown hair and brown eyes with a West Country accent.”
“He also has scars on both wrists and his nose and speaks with a stutter. Walford is disqualified from driving, but may be using a green Kawasaki motorbike. Anybody seeing Walford should not approach him, but call police on 999.”
