Plastic container from Japan found washed up during Berrow beach litter clean

-

A plastic food container from Japan was among the washed-up litter collected by volunteers during the latest beach clean at Berrow on Saturday (April 13th).

The Friends of Berrow Beach held their monthly litter clean, which was well-attended by over 40 people, including several of the team at Burnham’s BARB Search & Rescue.

Honour Greenslade, one of the organisers, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Our thanks go to everyone who attended the beach clean. We had 42 people turn up, and special thanks go to BARB for helping with the heavy items as well.”

“Among the items found was a green wasabi sauce tube! It’s probably not as old as it looks as it is still used today, but it could have come all the way from Japan as the English tubes actually have English words on.”
